Here's a drawing from earlier this summer. I've used Vine charcoal (as in grapevine). Not so easy to get hold of locally, I had to get it shipped from the States where it appears to be a little more common. It is 'bluer' in colour than willow charcoal, and it has its own handling qualities, which like other charcoals vary quite dramatically depending on what sort of paper is being used. This is drawn on Fabriano Artistico 300gsm HP Watercolour paper. A really beautiful paper to work with. Stay tuned/ subscribe/ sign up for more paper talk!!
