6 New Drawings uploaded to A Panoramic Sketchbook!

Click here to view the new panoramic sketchbook drawings in Mossie Quille Charcoals. I have recently been exploring the area South of Dundry Hill, a seemingly vast expanse of rolling hills, zig-zagging fields, and tree lined tunnels. 'Northwick Road' is one of the new sketchbook drawings, and is the view due North looking up toward Dundry Hill. This is one area I think I shall be returning to again and again over the coming months, not least to do some oil painting!

Here's a drawing from earlier this summer. I've used Vine charcoal (as in grapevine). Not so easy to get hold of locally, I had to get it shipped from the States where it appears to be a little more common. It is 'bluer' in colour than willow charcoal, and it has its own handling qualities, which like other charcoals vary quite dramatically depending on what sort of paper is being used. This is drawn on Fabriano Artistico 300gsm HP Watercolour paper. A really beautiful paper to work with. Stay tuned/ subscribe/ sign up for more paper talk!!
